Happy Middle Autumn Festival
Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as , takes place at the 15th day of the eighth Chinese lunar month. The reason for ce) and it is an official holiday. It is a time for families to be together, so people far from home will gaze longingly at the moon and think about their families.
The traditional food for mid-autumn festival is the moon cake which is round and symbolizes reunion. Usually, family get together gazing at the full bright moon outdoor along a table and appreciating the moon cake. Those who are away from home and cannot typically visit their loved ones easily tend to make every effort to go back home for this festival, a rare moment when they can appreciate nature’s beauty and the joy of life with their family members who are otherwise thousands of miles away. Those who can’t reunion with their family, they believe that the the moon can help send love, best wishes, and greetings to family members far away.
